Kitchens (in B-C, anyway) have a couple of fridges, a sink, and a stove, as well as counter space. As for everything else- youre on your own. People tend to be generous and share major appliances- theres no real need for everyone to have their own microwave. As for other kitchen supplies, it varies based on the people you live with.
